| Thanksgiving education is part of the Mental Health Education and is an importantembodiment for improving students`positive psychological quality and making theirpersonality perfect. Respect for teachers is the traditional Chinese virtues, the old sayingof once a teacher always my teacher and Teachers’ Day is all reflect the respect andattention to teacher. So, research on psychological characters of thanksgiving to teachersof middle school students and understanding of the situation for giving the suggestionsplay a significant role in improving students`positive psychological quality and makingtheir personality perfect and carrying forward the Chinese traditional virtues.This study used qualitative research and quantitative research unified to thestudents`positive psychological quality of thanksgiving to teachers and made a newresearch and try. The research divides three parts: The first Phase establishes thestudents`positive psychological quality of thanksgiving to teachers model with thequalitative research. Second, developing the students`positive psychological quality ofthanksgiving to teachers questionnaire. Third, survey the students`positivepsychological quality of thanksgiving to teachers. The following conclusions:(1) The students`positive psychological quality of thanks giving to teachers modelpresents a multi-dimensional level model and with a stable structure. According togrounded theory methodology interviewed32respondents to gather information. afteropen coding, axial coding, selective coding three levels of coding, finally formedincluding cognition, emotion, evaluation, and behavioral tendencies, remember, thank,gratitude seven dimensions,14categories,65competency in the students`positivepsychological quality.(2) The students`positive psychological quality of thanks giving to teachers arefour-factor structures, including cognition of expressing gratefulness to teachers,emotions of giving thanks to teachers, intentions of expressing gratefulness to teachers,and behavior of giving thanks to teachers. The questionnaire has high reliability andvalidity.(3) The students`positive psychological quality of thanks giving to teachers in the medium level, the degree of strength is cognition of expressing gratefulness to teachers,intentions of expressing gratefulness to teachers, emotions of giving thanks to teachers,behavior of giving thanks to teachers.(4) The emotions of giving thanks to teachers and behavior of giving thanks toteachers has significant differences in the sex. The boys were significantly lower thangirls.(5) There is no remarkable difference between only children and non-only childrenas well as between urban students and rural students.(6) There is significant difference between student leaders and common classmates.The student leaders were significantly higher than common classmates. |
