Study On Causes For County-level Statistical Data Distortion And Countermeasures

Establish a sound and strong county-level statistical mechanism, scientific and standardized county-level statistical management system, scientific and suitable county-level survey method and perfect and effective statistical supervision mechanism to ensure accurate and timely statistical data and maintain the foundation for normal operation of the national statistics. With the gradual establishment and perfection of the socialist market economic system, the reform of statistics and statistical modernized construction will develop in depth. Currently, China’s statistical work has entered a new period of development. As for the statistical departments directly facing the grassroots county-level, it is an important reform and development task for county-level statistical departments and the majority of statisticians to grasp the favorable opportunity, adapt to the two fundamental changes of economic system and economic growth mode, strengthen the county-level statistical work, consolidate the management of county-level statistics, reform the statistical survey method, construct the county-level Bureau of Statistics, improve the accuracy and timeliness of statistical data and better obey and serve the central task of economic construction in front of the good opportunities and severe challenges. Therefore, this paper conducts a further exploration on this issue.
