With the prevalence of computer technology and network, network education has gradually been applied to classes and the traits of education informationization are becoming more and more obvious day by day. In "National Outline for Medium and Long-term Education Reform and Development (2010-2020),"(hereinafter referred to as’Education Outline’for short) that "Information technology poses revolutionary impact on education development and should be given great importance." clearly points out the importance of education informationization and at the same time strive to "elevate teachers’information technology applying level, update teaching concepts, improve teaching methods, enhance teaching effect, encourage students to study actively making use of information tools, and strengthen their abilities of analyzing and solving problems using information technology." The "Education Outline" encourages and accelerates the integration process of information technology and curriculum, and displays the bright future of education informationization.This thesis studies the application of information technology to Chinese writing teaching, with the main purpose being how to improve students’ writing performance utilizing Web-based Web2.0technology. Meanwhile, through analyzing the various drawbacks of traditional Chinese teaching, the thesis employs the information technology to reform by taking Chinese writing courses into computer classes and facilitating teaching by means of Baihui application platform.The study is divided into four phases:the literature review and theory research, investigation of the experiment feasibility, demonstration research and statistical analysis. Through the comprehensive analysis of the large amount of Web2.0application literature, the author puts forward the research direction which is the application of the Web2.0technology to middle school Chinese writing, with social constructivism and humanism being the theoretical support. At be beginning of the experiment, the author first appraises the experiment feasibility according to students’ computer and network level, then starts the experiment process based on the feasibility and at last makes the evaluation of the experimental results through students’exam performance and the interviews with teachers and students.The research shows that:Chinese writing teaching on the condition of Web2.0is feasible and effective. It can well arouse students’learning interests of writing, improve students writing performance, at the same time abates teachers’workload, greatly enhance the collaboration and sharing spirit among students, to a large extent maintains students’dominant learning status as well as the cultivation and exertion of their individualities, and plays a positive role in students’well-rounded development.
