Education Research Of College Students’ Volunteer Activities

College students’ volunteer activities refer the college students to the identity ofvolunteers, are kinds of social practice activities which services for others and thesocial, dedication of love to others. Since the new century, with the rapid developmentof economy, society and the higher education, college students’ volunteer activitiesare developing fast. College students’ volunteer activities play a positive role inleading society new trend and the construction of spiritual civilization, which alsomakes a positive effect in school and the society. College students’ volunteeractivities are important components of college student social practice activities, whichnot only makes contribution to the society, but also lets the students themselvesexperience test and exercise, edify thought and sentiment. This paper reviewed andsummarized the development history of college students’ volunteer activities totally,and it also analyzed the present situation of college students’ volunteer activityobjectively. To strengthen the education research of college students’ volunteeractivities and the leadership further is a new topic to college ideological politicaleducation workers and the relevant social departments.Four aspects were discussed in this paper as following: The related concepts andthe development process of college students’ volunteer activities of our country wereexpounded, and the characteristics were also analyzed in the first part. The secondpart, which based on the points that volunteer activities will be beneficial to theimprovement of college students’ ideological political consciousness, to strengthen thesocial responsibility consciousness, to cultivate college students’ social practice ability,be helpful for the improvement of college students’ comprehensive quality; The maincontent of the college students’ volunteer activities was summarized, namely, socialcommonweal volunteer service, providing volunteer service for big activities,volunteer service for campus life and learning, social poverty alleviation volunteerservice, community development and construction volunteer service, environmentalprotection volunteer service. The influence of college students’ volunteer activities oncampus, society and themselves was analyzed objectively in the third part; The mainproblems and the reasons of college students’ volunteer activities were also analyzed,which provides the basis to strengthen and improve the educational work of collegestudents’ volunteer activities. The last part begins a further exploration on educationof college students’ volunteer activities from students their own side, school level andsociety aspect.
