In the history of modern Chinese literary criticism, LiJianwuis extraordinary for his remarkable achievements on literarycriticism. While he is also such a great success in dramaticcriticism, which contains his profound literary ideology.On the one hand,he proclaims four reality-based criticalcriteria of drama: drama for life; presenting a true lifeobjectively; shaping typical disposition in typical atmosphere;and focusing on character-oriented and simplified plots. Withthese critical criteria, it is highlighted that LiJianwuconcentrates on the relation between dramas and realistic lifeas well as on maintaining perfect arts maximumly.On the other hand, LiJianwu takes profound psychoanalysis asperspective to fulfill dramatic criticism. He both exploresabstruse humanity in dramas and studies the dramatists’unplumbed psychology of creation. It’s an inventive criticalmethod in the field of dramatic criticism, which makes his critical reviews greater in depth.In the end, Li Jianwu delivers advice on drams creation,combing his own valuable experience. He proposes that dramatistshould adhere to the approach of “self-discipline andtolerating othersâ€, to positive themes with positive attitudeand to keeping the sustain vitality of dramas by creativeawareness.
