Therefore, it is very necessary to study the textbook of teaching Chinese as the second language. The study in the textbook of teaching Chinese as a second language involves a very wide sphere, so there are also some study achievements in the textbooks vocabulary. However, the study time in this aspect is not too long, so a lot of points is still worthy of further analysis. As the most common new words annotation in the textbook of teaching Chinese as a second language, English annotation is not so good in many points. So we still need the further study to make up for the weak points. In this thesis, our goal is comparing and analyzing the new words annotation as detailed as possible to identify some advantages and some disadvantages in the textbook <Chinese Made Easier>. Then we will explore some possible method to annotate the new words. We want, in the maximum extent, to make some useful suggestions for the compilation of the textbook vocabulary. Before the analysis of new words annotation, the thesis first introduces the present research status, the research goals and the research methods and basis. We believe that we should start from the research status of the new words annotation in the textbook of teaching the Chinese as a second language. On the basis of the theory of the contrastive linguistics and the classification of meaning, according to the actual situation of teaching and student learning, we can bring up the research objectives, that is, through the comparative analysis of the new words annotation, the study find some good new words English annotation methods to promote the quality of the textbook of teaching Chinese as the second language. In the second chapter, we analyze and show some annotation method in the textbook <Chinese Made Easier> and point out three aspects of its innovation. First of all, the book makes a lot of changes in the annotation of the new words part of speech. In all of these advantages, the most outstanding contribution is taking the "VO" as the annotation of some verbs with a verb-object structure. This annotation method can not only indicate the structure of the new words themselves, but also help learners to make fewer mistakes in the communication with the new words. Secondly, the textbook is different from most textbooks which simply give a one-to-one annotation. It is always give a comprehensive annotation of each new word, whether in meaning or application. Thirdly, it adds some simple sentences to a few new words annotation in the textbook so that the student can clearly understand how to use the new word. In this paper, we present three advantages in the book <Chinese Made Easier>. However, it not only in the purpose of showing the efforts the book have made, but also hope that these methods can be known and used by more and more people, and to improve the quality of the textbooks teaching Chinese as a second language. In the third chapter, in accordance with the method proposed in the beginning of this book, we analyze the problems in the textbook new words annotation, and point out the cause of the problems. About the reason of the annotation problems, we will mainly divide them into three parts, which are semantics, collocation and pragmatics. In the fourth chapter, according to the issues raised in Chapter III, the thesis raised some comments which hope to help the new words annotation. First, the thesis introduce the method which use the method of annotating the morpheme meaning to help the meaning of the new words annotation, in order to improve the learners’ understanding and mastery of the new words. Second, we believe the negation of the opposite of the adjective annotation can further narrow the scope of the words used in the proper range. Finally, this article considers, whether in the scope of the interpretation of the nouns and adjectives or in the using of the verbs, can enable learners to understand how to use the new words and the specific scope of the new words.According the analysis in the paper, we presented some proposal in the English annotation of the new words in the textbook teaching Chinese as a second language, hoping to do a certain contribution to the preparation of the subsequent the textbooks, but we also pointed out the disadvantages and the direction we need work toward, and in the future we can continue to get some achievement in this regard. |
