The object of this thesis is the Italian Academy of Fine Arts from16th century to18th century. It illustrates the logical consistency of generation and development and the social connotations in different periods of the Italian Academy of Fine Arts by analyzing the features and the complicated connections of some social factors politics, economy, culture, philosophy and religious and so on. Based on such a sense, the article is divided into three parts. The first part tries to answer:How was the relationship between the medieval apprenticeship and the guild? How did the Apprenticeship cultivate the artists? Why and how did the artists break away from the guild? And what did the establishment of the Academy of Fine Arts prompted in this process? The second part tries to answer:In the17th century, how did the Italian Academy of Fine Arts set up? In the process of setting up, what were the crucial contents of the academy? The third part tries to answer:In the18th century, why and how did the Italian Academy of Fine Arts develop? What about the status? At that time, how about the relationship between the Italian Academy of Fine Arts and the French Academy of Fine Arts? And what were the influences? The purpose of this paper, however, is not only to grasp the overall development context of the Italian Academy of Fine Arts, but also to reveal the unique social significance of the Academy of Fine Arts by understanding the changes of the academy followed social changes.
