| The Second Novel of Four Famous Sergeants Series of Wen Ruian---Romance, Chapter Two Womanly Sword is selected to translate. The chapter mainly deals with the love and hatred around the womanly sword of Long Shelan, the girl detective. By translating the chapter, I, on one hand, explain the reasons why I choose the Kung Fu novel to translate. I have the Kung Fu complex from childhood and the desire to let more foreigners know the brilliant culture. On the other hand, I share the comments about translating the chapter. Especially, during the shift from the literature with Chinese characteristic to English, I make use of the translation strategies such as the transliteration and annotation, and amplification. |
