Acute Pancreatitis (AP) is a self-digestive disease with chemical inflammationas its main pathological feature which is caused by the activation of pancreatinwithin Pancreas due to various etiological reasons. It is one of the most commonacute abdominal diseases with acute upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomit, fever andincrease of blood pancreatin as its characteristics. Mild acute pancreatitis (MAP)is usually self-limited with fine prognosis while severe acute pancreatitis (SAP)is usually followed by infection, shock, MODF and other complications which aredangerous and processing fast with high fatality rate. Along with futher researchof the pathogenesis and severity of AP, western medical treatment of acutepancreatitis has been improved, but it still can not eliminate the aggravatingfactors of AP and solve the the high fatality rate fundamentally.According to years of clinical experience,professor Wang-chuijie thinks thatthe key pathogenesis of AP is a system of pathologic changes that are caused bythe accumulation of dampness-heat in middle jiao, the dysfunction of qi activityin middle jiao, and the obstruction of fu-organ qi.It belongs to internal syndrome,heat syndrome, and excess syndrome. According to the principle of “the sixfu-organs regard unobstructed movement as their functional feature, and noobstruction no pains”he puts forward the treatment method of “tong”to cure AP,and promote to use traditional Chinese medicine early in the treatment process basedon the westen treatment. The therapy have a good curative effect. And sum upprofessor Wang’s linical treatment experience of acute pancreatitis as followsnow.
