Objective:The37cases of postpartumparalysiswere observed before and after treatment to test and verify the therapeutic effect of Professor Wang Ziyu’experience formula for postpartum paralysis.we summed up the regular pattern of Professor Wang’s treating postpartum paralysis by using of database mining platform, to promote the inheritance and development of Professor Wang’s experience and provide a new method of inheriting experience and studying medical case for clinical workers.Methods:37cases of postpartum paralysis patients visited by Professor Wang Ziyu were sreened with the inclusion criteria from May2012to November2012. All the37cases were treated for2months with Professor Wang’ experience prescription, and patients’symptoms were scored before treatment, the second month and fourth month after treatment to evaluate the effect of treatment.53cases meeting the inclusion criteria were also Screened from the existing medical records within Wang Ziyu workstation. Together with the clinical observation finally90medical records and401prescriptions were gained. All the obtained medical records and prescriptions were respectively input to the CPDBS and CPIAS developed by Professor Ren Tingge etc. The viewpoint of Professor Wang Ziyu on the Puerperal Arthralgia etiology and pathogenesis of legislation, prescription drugs (medicinal, herbs, Meridian), efficacy, syndrome and symptoms were analysed through mining statistical data and the final results were summed up and discussed in order to gain the correct understanding and interpretation.Results:1. The general therapeutic effect:37cases of postpartum paralysis patients were treated with Professor Wang Ziyu empirical formula. Disease efficacy analysis:clinical cure rates of systemic symptoms is2.7%remarkable efficiency75.68%, efficiency18.92%, the inefficient2.7%, the total effective rate97.3%.2. The records data mining analyse: postpartum paralysis etiology mainly based on deficiency; the syndromes result as well as pathogenesis distribution characteristics are broadly consistent with deficiency syndrome;"tonifying the liver and kidney","nourishing Qi and blood" are principle therapy, assisted wi th "strengthening tendons and bones" and " promoting blood circulation network"; the medication potency is relative peace, overall a little warm tendency; Smell biased "sweet","bitter","pungent";"liver" take first place in medication Meridian,"kidney, spleen, lung" are also closely related; drug efficacy lies in "dispelling wend","tonifying blood","strenthening bones and muscles","tonifying liver","dispelling dampness","promoting blood circulation", and "tonifying kidney"; commonly used drugs are Angelica, white peony root, Eucommia, Sang parasitic, Chuanxiong, Codonopsis, Sunburn Astragalus, Millettia, the Millennium and health, independent living, Rehmannia, Guizhi etc.Conclusion:1. Professor Wang Ziyu’s empirical formula could significantly improve the patient’s clinical symptoms such as pain, sweating, chills, general malaise etc, and proves an effective prescription for postpartum paralysis treatment.2. Through statistic data mining on postpartum paralysis medical records, we summarize the distribution pattern of the Puerperal Arthralgia etiology, pathogenesis, therapy, medication, effect, syndrome, etc, which consistent with Professor Wang Ziyu’s understanding on Puerperal Arthralgia.3. The CPDBS and CPIAS successfully conduct the multi-angle, multi-faceted data mining, as a result more objective, valuable conclusions can be drawn, in addition the goodness of fit between the two systems proves perfect, which confirmed that the data mining technology is feasible in the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine practitioners experience.
