Objective:(1).To find out the population’s nutrition healthy status and theprevalence rate of overweight, obesity, abdomen obesity, hypertension, diabetes andblood lipids abnormalities in the adults in the community of Nanjing city, analyze theprevalence and influence of these diseases.(2).To observe the lifestyle intervention,including diet and physical examination, on blood lipids,fasting blood glucose andblood pressure and evaluate its effects.and then to provide basis for prevention andcontrol measures.Methods:(1) In this study,2986serving and retired staffs in urban area ofNanjing University of Science were selected as sample. Combination of questionnaireinvestigation and physical examination were used to collect data.The descriptiveanalysis was used to analyze the prevalence and the distributive characteristic of riskfactors related to chronic disease. The influence factor models of hypertension,hyperlipemia and diabetes were explored.(2) Blood lipids abnormalities’ populationfor intervention was screened on the basis of the survey after eliminating thevoluntary samples who are disabler、psychopaths and malign disorder suffers, andthen distributed to lifestyle intervention group and control group. Compare the resultof the biochemical and physical index. intervention span was one year.Results:(1) The total incidence of overweight and obesity of staffs was39.3%and9.6%. The rate of overweight in male and female was45.5%and29.4%respectively,the prevalence rate of obesity was12.1%and5.6%respectively.The rateof overwetght and obesity in male was significantly higher than infemale(p<0.01).The prevalence rate of overweight and obesity in female increasedyear by year.The rate ofoverweight after the age of50years old Was significantlyhigher than the age of50years old before(p<0.01).(2)The total prevalence rate of blood lipid abnormity was52.2%,The prevalence rate of hypertension was37.5%,The prevalence rate of diabetes was5.9%;There were increasing tendency in bloodlipid abnormity,hypertension,diabetes with age and BMI increasing;The results alsoshowed that blood Lipids was closely related to body mass index(BMI) and waist tohip ratio(WHR).(3) lifestyle intervention for1year made BMI descend distinctlyaccording to body examinations before and after the experiment.Blood lipids and UAalso declined obviously compared with commencement of experiment in interventiongroup.The animal experiment indicated that.compared with control group,serumTG,TC,UA Was declined significantly in intervention group.Conclusions:(1)overweight/obesity in this community is not optimistic,theprevention of overweight/obesity was of great importance to the reduce of thenutrition-related chronic disease.(2) Blood lipid abnormity、 hypertension anddiabetes are the main chronic diseases hazarding the public health,it is urgentlyneeded to improve prevention,detection and treatment for chronic diseases in adults.(3)The results showed that effect on blood lipids abnormalities of lifesytleintervention which primary characteristic was intervention by diet and exerciseintervention was favorable in elderly adults.
