Thunder Fire Moxibustion Treatment Knee Osseous Arthritis Clinical Research

This dissertation is composed of two parts:(1) summaries on OA;(2)clinical observation on the treatment of OA by lei-huo moxibustion.The first summary tells about OA on its cause, pathogenesis, syndrome differentiation, experimental study and treatments of Chinese medicine, which includes medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion, massage and comprehensive therapy. The second shows the pathogenesis, diagnostic standard, preventions and treatments of OA in western medicine.In the part of clinical study,150cases of OA are selected according to the standard of internalizing and depletion and divided into the treatment group and the control group randomly. The treatment group is treated with lei-huo moxibustion on points of Zusanli, Xiyan, Yanglingque, Xuehai, Liangqiu, Heding and Ashi. The control group is treated with medicine bath. After4weeks, compare the changes of symptoms, CRP and ESR of patients. Result:the total effective rate of the treatment group is92%and of the control group is86.7%. The treatment group is better than the control group(p<0.05). Marks of symptoms, CRP and ESR after treatments are apparently lower than those before the therapy. No side-effects occur in the teo groups. Conclusion:Lei-huo moxibustion can warm and dredge collaterals, activate blood analgesia, improve symptoms and lower related laboratory indexes, which indicate its remarkable superiority among treatments of OA.
