Shaanxi Industrial Carbon Emissions Influence Factors Analysis

The global warming poses a serious threat to human life and planet’s ecosystem, which is increasingly becoming the government’s and people’s concern. According to the United Nations intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC), the fourth of the climate change assessment report published in2007, human activities especially burning fossil fuel consumption of industrial production causes the earth’s atmosphere greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide concentration to rise, and excessive emissions of carbon dioxide as a representative of the greenhouse gas are global warming direct cause. On the international background of climate concern, the development of low carbon economy more and more get the attention of the countries all over the world. Shaanxi province is in western important economic province, and the industry department’s low carbon development is the backbone of Shaanxi province. How to find a suitable way for low carbon economy development is an important problem of Shaanxi province.This article firstly takes low carbon economy research background and significance as the breakthrough point, and points out that low carbon economy development of Shaanxi province is of the urgency, especially the development of low carbon industry. Then this paper summarizes the related literature, mainly including different angles, the way of low carbon industry and development of low carbon industry in the western areas. First, the relationship of industrial carbon emissions and economic development has been summarized. The premise is that the mode of low carbon does not affect economic growth; second, from the angle of low carbon cause, we find out the problem of low carbon industry; third, the paper summarized influencing factors of industry low carbonization; fourth, the paper summarized low carbon route choice and relevant legal system for the problem. Of course, the current research status of low carbon industry has not been ignored. Some scholars’ research industry development from the angle of whole western ecological, efficiency, and industrial cluster, and also other scholars analyze the low carbon industry development from special provinces, including Sichuan, Qinghai and so on.Then, the article described the current situation of the low carbon economic development in Shaanxi. On the basis of economic development stage, the resource predominance, the technical level, and the energy consumption, the article selects agriculture, industry, construction and transportation industry department, and established the effect factors model of the Shaanxi carbon dioxide emissions. Through the collection of related data and information from2001to20010, the carbon dioxide emissions, industrial energy consumption amount, industry scale and industry GDP have a systematic analysis internal industry and between industries. In conclusion, energy saving and emission reduction technological factors are the main factors for reducing carbon emissions, and the increase of industry GDP and value revaluation causes the increase of carbon emissions. The study shows that, as a big energy province, coal is the main part of energy structure and energy efficiency is not high, so low carbon technology development is still main factors of reducing carbon emissions. Industry GDP and the increase of the revaluation are based on the increase of carbon emissions, so Shaanxi province takes the science and education advantage, and promote strategic new industry development, and give full development of new energy in northwest region. We should promote the development of economy and reduce carbon emissions to achieve low carbon economy target of Shaanxi province.Finally, according to the empirical results, low carbon economy experience of foreign development, and the specific conditions of Shaanxi province, this paper for how to develop the Shaanxi low carbon industry puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.
