Planning Information Management System Based On Gis And The Research And Development

Urban planning and management are administrative activities to organize planning programme and examine and approve of urban planning and control, guide and supervise urban land use and construction of the arrangements for the implementation according to the law. It is an information technology base to "digital city". Also, it is a key indicator of measuring the city information technology success whether or not. Urban Planning & Management Information System Based on GIS (UPMIS) can intuitively and efficiently reflects the urban planning and management processes and management results, while providing spatial analysis for urban planning and management, it can spontaneously provide real-time, dynamic, detailed information for operational management of urban planning and decision-making support.The main contents of this paper and the results are as follows:1) Described the UPMIS, including the status quo, development trends and the problems, a detailed analysis the demand of UPMIS.2) Analyzed the urban planning and management requirements, discussed in detail the overall UPMIS’s architecture design, functional design and database design.3) Study on the system design, development key technology, technology Roadmap of UPMIS. Proposed and described the UPMIS’s design idea based on GIS (Geographie Information System), construction process and development results.
