| As one of the four language skills, the reading skill is an important standard for us tomeasure a person’s language proficiency. Chinese Reading Course is designed to teachreading technique, train good reading habits, develop students’reading comprehensionability and communicative ability. Thus skills teaching is significant for this course.Intermediate Chinese reading teaching is important for helping students to masterhigher level reading skills and improve their reading ability. My research takesIntermediate Chinese Reading Course, the typical textbook focusing on reading skills, asan example, and is based on Chinese reading teaching theories. I combine the above theoryresearch with my teaching practice in the classroom, put forward some new methods aboutChinese reading skills teaching and training.This paper consists of introduction, main body(three chapters) and conclusion.The introduction is about my research’s meaning, object, methods and relativeacademic terms.Chapter One first summarizes relative reading theories, then analyzes the existingresearch findings related to Chinese reading textbooks, reading skills and reading teaching,which is the theoretical foundation for the following research.Chapter Two mainly analyzes the reading textbooks from the following aspects:content summary, skills arrangement, materials choice, new words statistical character,exercises, and so on. I try to make my analysis cover all the important aspects, and discussthe rationality of this textbook’s content design. It provides evidence and data for my newteaching methods.Chapter Three combines the textbook’s character and my classroom teachingexperience, improves the existing Chinese reading teaching methods and puts forwardbetter methods to teach Intermediate Chinese Reading Course.The conclusion summarizes my research, points out the shortcomings, and calls forfurther study in this field. |
