Intermediate Chinese reading class is a single language skills class,which plays an important role in helping students in intermediate Chinese proficiency to understand sentences and chapters and improve their communicative level.With the launch and promotion of the Chinese Teacher class in South Asia,the Confucius Institute Scholarship in China,more and more Pakistan students volunteer to study in our country,therefore,this thesis takes the South Asian undergraduate Class(Pakistan Class)International students of Henan University as the research object,combined with the specific teaching practice experience,The teaching of intermediate Chinese reading course in Pakistan was investigated and studied.The survey found that the lack of background information,insufficient vocabulary reserves and poor reading habits are the main reasons why international students talk about "reading" color change and slow progress,and there are some problems or inadequacies in Chinese teachers,students and teaching materials in the course of teaching.The learning characteristics of Pakistani students learning independence,daring to question,strong creativity,high oral English level and willing to express are worthy of the attention of Chinese teachers,in order to achieve the ideal teaching effect teachers should adjust the teaching strategy flexibly according to the difference of teaching content.In particular,in terms of cultural knowledge,students are encouraged to enrich their direct and indirect experiences in the way of experience and to strengthen their ability to analyze cultural differences.Vocabulary,Chinese teachers can divide the vocabulary in reading teaching materials into two subcategories of receptive vocabulary and usability vocabulary,and combine various vocabulary teaching methods to make vocabulary teaching more vivid and more graphic;In the aspect of long difficult sentence teaching,Chinese teachers should enter the language knowledge selectively and teach more "breaking sentences" skills,while discourse teaching can start with distinguishing the discourse style,grasping the discourse thought and improving the reading speed of discourse,and jointly realize the optimization and maximization of the teaching effect.In short,"Teaching by your aptitude" is an important principle of teaching,this paper seeks to cultivate intermediate Chinese proficiency through this investigation and the ability of Pakistani students to grab information and improve their communicative level through Chinese reading,and also hope to provide some new teaching ideas for intermediate Chinese reading courses in different country through the display and feedback ofteaching cases.
