Current Situation Of Teaching Chinese In Confucius Institute At BSU, Russia

In order to promote Chinese language and culture, since2004, China hasbegan to set up cooperative educational institutions called the Confucius Insti-tute. Within a few years of rapid development of Confucius Institute it has be-come the main institute to learn Chinese and promote Chinese culture and hasbecome the bridge between culture exchanges of the world.The first Confucius Institute in Russia is established by the office of Chi-nese Language Council International (Hanban). Russia has already established19Confucius Institutes including Confucius Institute Buryat State University.This thesis based on research “Current situation of Teaching Chinese by meansof questionnaire survey, investigation in Confucius Institute of BSU”.Our research has focused on the following aspects Teaching Chinese atthe Confucius Institute of Buryat State University: Chinese language teachers,Chinese learners, Chinese information resources and others. Our study also in-volved the progress and development of the Confucius Institute in Russia. Re-search also focused on overview of Chinese at Confucius Institute and Chineselanguage distribution around Russia.This thesis is divided in four chapters:The first chapter is about the reasons and significance of research and abrief introduction. The first chapter also includes the purpose, method and objectof our research.The second chapter is about the progress and development of the Confu-cius Institute at Buryat State University, Russia. Studies include situation ofChinese teaching in Russia, the overall distribution profile and the developmentof the Chinese language in Confucius Institute, Russia. We also focused on or-ganizational structure profile of the Confucius Institute of Buryat State Univer-sity.Chapter three is about Investigation and Analysis of Chinese teaching sit-uation at Confucius Institute Buryat State University. Our research includesthree aspects: the Chinese teachers, student and Chinese Teaching Materials. Fi-nally, on the basis of analysis, we found the problems and proposed complex ofsolutions.
