In the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,“More X More Y”sentence is a teaching difficulty, through the search of corpus resource discovery,foreign students using this pattern, have a higher rate of error for a variety of reasons.This should cause enough attention to teaching researchers in the process of teachingChinese as a foreign language. Here the author, tries to make deep research to thispattern, discusses their structural forms, semantic and syntactic function, analysis thestudents’error appeared on the acquisition of the format, to find a more effectiveteaching method. The paper is divided into four chapters; the main contents are asfollows:The first chapter is introduction. In this chapter, the author mainly introduces thepurpose and significance of choosing this topic, the author on the basis of previousstudies, introduces the research content, research methods, theoretical foundation ofdata sources and the innovation.The second chapter is “study more X more Y” format. In this chapter, the authorwill focus on "the X,Y" and special sentence patterns “more and more Y”structure,semantic, syntactic function, and the two one sentence comparisons.The third chapter is about the “More X More Y” format error analysis. Theauthor in the Peking language University dynamic composition corpus selection offoreign students and data analysis and statistics, the error types are classified, and thenanalyze the cause of the error.The fourth chapter is based on the previous research, pust out the teachingprinciple of “More X More Y”format, and carries out the teaching design.
