With the globalization going on, there are more foreign exchanges in and out of China,which brings more translation programs and requires higher quality. Translation is nolonger an activity carried out by one single translator but one that requires joint efforts ofseveral or even a large number of translators.The author practiced United Nations document translation when she was an intern in theTranslation Department of Graduate Institute for Interpretation and Translation ofShanghai International Studies University. In the first chapter, there is a backgrounddescription of the concept of teamwork and the significance of teamwork. In the secondchapter, the translation task is introduced and the features of UN document is discussed. Inthe third chapter, the author puts forward that teamwork helps achieve consistency andaccuracy in UN document translation. In the conclusion part, the importance of teamworkis further elaborated. The author believes that teamwork should be carried out thoroughlyto optimize the quality of translation projects. |
