Research On Works Of Lin Shensi

Lin Shensi was a very famous scholar of the late Tang Dynasty in Fujian. And heoccupies a certain position in the history of Chinese thoughts for his "Shen Mengzi "and" continued Mencius". At present, the academic circle’s research on Lin shensi andLin shensi’s thought is still a weak field. This text is just based on these facts. The fulltext is totally divided into three parts, now briefly recounted as follows:The first part is about the usual life of Lin Shensi. The published works such as "a dictionary of all classes of authors","history of Jiangnan examination office" andother research treatise concerning Lin Shensi ’s biographical information mostly hasno system, and some concrete problems are usually ambiguous. This text then takestime as a key line and divides the usual life of Lin Shensi into two stages, namely theperiod of the growth struggle and the political career stage. For some very explicitproblems, this text just lifts once, and the point of the text is some problems which isusually neglected. For example, five brothers studied hard in a stone room, Lin Shensiwas banished and so on.The second part mainly introduces Lin Shensi’s two works. This text carries on adetailed research to the formative reason of the two works through combining thattime social background and Lin Shensi’s oneself condition etc. Secondly, this textanalyses the compile style of the two works.The third part introduces Lin Shensi’s ideology. Lin Shensi’s ideology is mainlyreflected in two aspects of politics and education, and his insightful analysis has thevery high value.
