| In the1990s, with the development of market economy, the pace of life accelerated gradually. A great change have taken placed on people’s aesthetic psychology so that people pay more attention to the impact of the visualization, visual screen. People prefer new and strange things in their spare time. Under this influence, some writers prefer to attract the readers with the spectacle narrative.Using the method of text analysis, this thesis which selects dozens of the novels in the last two decades as the main representative works, for analyzing the spectacle narrative. The part of Introduction introduces the actuality about the research of novels spectacle narrative phenomenon, and the topic of this thesis. It also includes some defining of concept referred in the thesis. By examining spectacle narrative phenomenon research about the novels in the last two decades, we think that these spectacle narrative novels are mainly described in five aspects:the scenery spectacle, which mainly reflect the strong color screen in the text and depict the exotic charm in a strange language; the scene of spectacle, which mainly reflect a lot of action description and the dynamic picture that impact readers in the visual; the body spectacle, which focus on the materialization language and emotional experience to show pretty of the body; the characters the spectacle, which mainly reflected the strange things about ordinary people and have an visual contrast effect; folk spectacle, which mainly make extensive use of folk narrative techniques in the novel to meet the reader’s knowledge about exotic customs. In the third part, we mainly focuses on aesthetic significance and effects of the last two decades novel spectacle narrative. At the same time, illustrate the advantages and disadvantages of this phenomenon and its influence for the current literary world. It pointed at that meets the readers’ visual aesthetic to a certain extent and has shocking aesthetic effect, but weakened the ideological and depth of the work, which is not conducive to long-term development of the novel. |
