| Contemporary society is a so-called " new symbol world consists of entertainment, information and consumption" with highly developed communication technology, highly saturated vehicle and globalization. Advanced communication technologies has made visual information more simple, convenint and fast. By the communication of visual information, spectacles created by media is more gorgeous and delicate, and even more active and powerful. Various spectacles made by media is increasingly meaning to inluence and lead people in life, comsumption and any other walk of life, achieving a broader and deeper social shock effect.City image promotion works is typical text that has turned landscape into visual cultural products, while Zhang Yimou's achievement in visual art is obvious. Therefore, the thesis took city image promotion works of Zhang Yimou as a case to study the procession of landscape entity becoming spectacle and being consumpted by media producing from generation, communication and consumption of visual spectacles.The first chapter taking Zhang Yimou's city promotion works as a trail, described how did Zhang Yimou make the target object into cultural products, and further becoming an attractive visual spectacle via media promotion. The second chapter mainly studied on generation procedure of visual spectacles, from the points of generation demand, creation condition and additional value. Chapter III mainly illustrated media's role in visual spectacles forming, describing visual spectacles in media communication. The ulter aim of production and communication is consumption, and visual spectacles consumption is undispensable, thus, the last chapter discussed the relationship of media and consumption and visual spectacles consumption. |
