Simultaneous interpretation is an emerging discipline in China, which is gradually developing towards the professionalism. As the result of frequent international exchanges and the increasing trends of globalization, simultaneous interpretation is used in all kinds of international conferences, which greatly facilitates international exchanges and cooperation. In order to further study how the simultaneous interpreters reasonably allocate their mental energy during simultaneous interpretation so as to improve their quality and effect, this paper starts with the cognitive model of simultaneous interpretation and study how the cognitive models affect simultaneous interpretation. The author adopts document analyzing method and example analyzing method. In terms of information processing, energy allocation, forecasting, this paper also studies what strategies should be taken in simultaneous interpretation under the guidance of the cognitive model by using the corpus of the third meeting of the BRIC country leaders. Simultaneous multi-tasking mode brings huge cognitive burden to interpreters.Studying simultaneous interpretation through cognitive theory will help interpreters reasonably allocate their mental energy and improve the efficiency of multi-tasking interpretation.
