| South Korean society increasingly becomes international and informative, Chinese influence is also growing in daily lives of Koreans. Many Korean high schools have started to establish Chinese classes. Now Korea high schools’ goal is to use Chinese in daily life, to cultivate the basic communication abilities and to understand Chinese culture. However, because the South Korean high schools’ education focuses only on college entrance exams, the students don’t have enough time and energy to study Chinese which is an optional course. Therefore it is difficult to improve the students’ level of Chinese. With the stimulation of listening, reading and speaking, audio-visual-oral teaching of Chinese offers a variety of audio and video materials for students, which can improve their listening skills and develop their communication skills in Chinese, make them understand Chinese culture, eventually, to reach the educational goal.In order to understand the reality of Korea senior school’s Chinese class and the needs of students, this article conducted the questionnaire survey. This survey shows the method of teaching in Korean high school’s Chinese class, the tools of teaching and the psychic reaction of students. The author designs Chinese audio-visual-oral teaching on the basis of the findings. Class-teaching contains preview, view, after-view as well as oral-expression teaching activities and literal-expression teaching activities.The article contains five parts. The first is introduction, which introduces the background, meaning and overview of the article. The second part is the theoretical basis of audio-visual-oral teaching, which introduces the theory of audio-visual teaching, the theory of teaching by multimedia and the theory of interactive teaching. In the third part, the characteristics of the education of Chinese courses in South-Korea and the students’ requirements are analyzed according to the results of the questionnaire. The fourth part is the design of teaching Chinese TV program<Happy Chinese>. The last part is conclusion. |
