The Evolution Of Khalkha Mongolian Ruling Jasagh

Taking Khalkha ruling Jasaghs in16th-17th century as premise, this thesis studied "Pay Tribute eight Jasaghs"given by Qing Dynasty, its evolvement and Khalkha Mongolian traditional Jasagh, as well as, the first Jasagh under the banner and league system and so on.This paper based on previous studies, and contrastively studies on Mongol and Manchu archives, which had been compiled and published in recent years and, Mongol historical recordation, Act documents and Qing Dynasty official history books, such as 《Clear cabinet file Mongolian Church《、《Clear within the Secretary of the School of file》、《Clear national history hospital file》、《Asa La g Masashi》、《Rhubarb History》、《Qing recorded》 and 《Princes Table Biography》 and so on. It systematically discussed the evolvement of Khalkha Mongolian Jasaghs. In chapter one, discoursed about the original history of Khalkha Mongolian and the formation of four big left-right wing tribes. The second chapter described each Jasaghs of four Khalkha’s tribes in the early17th century. In Chapter three, talked about Khalkha Mongolian after his allegiance to Qing Dynasty. This paper compared the first Jasaghs under Banner system with the traditional Jasaghs of Khalkha Mongolian, through which tried to find out the differences and evolvement locus of it, and its reasons and historical backgrounds. This academic thesis is of great significance on the evolution of the Mongolian political system and establishment of the Mongol rule during the Qing Dynasty.
