In this dissertation, we analyze acoustic features of the Khalkha Mongolian vowels and consonants by applying experimental methods and based on "The Fundamental Acoustic Parameter Measurements Database of the Khalkha Mongolian Vowels and Consonants", that was created by us. The structure and major contents of this dissertation are listed as follows:The section of introduction mainly introduces the basis of topic selection, a research survey of the Khalkha Mongolian vowels and consonants, research approaches, significance of the study, research methods and sources.The first chapter, it is analyses of the quality, duration, pitch and intensity of the Khalkha Mongolian short vowels and also comparison of the tongue position of short initial and non-initial vowels.The second chapter, it is analyses of the quality, duration, pitch and intensity of the Khalkha Mongolian long vowels and also comparison of the tongue position of long and short initial, long non-initial and short initial vowels.The third chapter deals with some problems about Khalkha Mongolian vowel phonemes.The fourth chapter analyses the acoustic features of the Khalkha Mongolian voiced consonants and passing by the comparison of the voiced-onset and voiced-coda appears of theirs special acoustic features.The fifth chapter analyses the acoustic features of the Khalkha Mongolian voiceless consonants and passing by the comparison of the voiceless-onset and voiceless-coda appears of theirs special acoustic features.The sixth chapter deals with some problems about Khalkha Mongolian consonant phonemes.
