Economic globalization and world economic integration promote exchanges and cooperation between countries. The first tool to enhance exchange is language. With the development of China’s economy and the improvement of its international status, Chinese, as a language communication tool, plays a more and more important role in international communications. More and more foreign students come to China to learn Chinese. The expansion of Chinese language worldwide achieves a good result and Confucius Institutes are sprung up in many countries and regions. In recent years, a Chinese hot has been immerged world around. It is not only a valuable opportunity but also a big challenge for the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper mainly discusses the teaching design of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in elementary comprehensive Chinese classroom teaching. The innovation of this paper lies in the following aspects:firstly, in order to solve the exiting problems of elementary comprehensive Chinese classroom teaching, this paper put forward some effective teaching techniques and analyze from two aspects--teaching method and teaching content. Teaching content is further divided into three parts:vocabulary teaching, grammar teaching and text teaching. The administrative levels are very clear. Secondly, some skills of the teaching design in teaching process are combined with the teaching practice. In terms of teaching techniques, the traditional teaching mode of lessons, mainly taught by teachers, is replaced by the new mode of lessons mainly learned by students. This new teaching mode is widely applied to teaching cases. Thirdly, flexibility is combined with pertinence. In classroom, students get the same learning information from teachers, however, through the teaching content and various form design, the teaching activity becomes more flexible and selective, thus each student can choose their own ways of learning according to their own personalities, learning strategies and ways of doing things.Through referring to a lot of books and analyzing a great number of information, the definition of teaching design of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is put forward and some research theories and methods are concluded. On the basis of previous study, comparing and analyzing methods, observation methods and some other methods are used in researching and exploring the problems needed to be resolved in the classroom teaching of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. And some corresponding countermeasures are proposed according to these problems. For some problems of classroom teaching, I believe that a great number of teaching skills are useful in avoiding the problems, thus I apply some of them in the classroom teaching case below. At last, I take the text "lucky numbers"--the twentieth lesson of the textbook "Chinese course" which is published by Beijing language university press as an example, in order to better exploring and interpreting the teaching design of the elementary comprehensive Chinese classroom.
