A Translation Project Report On Translation Of INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS(Chapter Ifve International Trade)

This is a project report on translation of Chapter5International Trade ofINTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, which is composed of four parts. Part One is theintroduction where the background, objectives and significance of the translationproject as well as the framework of the report are briefed. Part Two is concerned withissues about the source text, including an analysis of the whole text and a sketch ofthe relevant background information of the author. Observed in Part Three are thekeynotes, the difficulties encountered in the translation process and the correspondingtranslation methods employed. Part Four is the conclusion summarizing the lessonsdrawn from the translation, the experiences gained in carrying out the project andproblems needed to solve in the future.From the perspective of Nida’s functional equivalence theory and based on ananalysis of the linguistic features and functions of international business English, thispaper centers on the guiding role of the functional equivalence theory in the processof business English translation and endeavors to demonstrate the applicability of somerelevant translation strategies.
