Nowadays the Chinese schools in Phnom Penh, Cambodia are adopting aHalf-day mode for their Chinese education and insisting a Pure Chinese principle.By analyzing this mode, this thesis aimed at evaluating its advantages and problemsso that we can come up with some valuable advice to the future Chinese educationreform in Cambodia.Documentary analyses, questionnaire survey and comparison methods wereused in the paper.All data came from interviews and questionnaires in Minshengand other five Chinese schools in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. In order to guaranteetheir subjectivity, we visited the schools in person, collected information fromschools, teachers, students and teaching materials. The respondents for bothquestionnaires and interviews were chosen randomly.Based on the study, we did find out that the reform for the Half-day modeChinese education in Cambodia is inevitable, and it should pay more attention to thepractical needs of the modern society. It is hoped that such a study can make us abetter understanding of the current situation and prospect of Chinese schools inPhnom Penh, Cambodia....
