Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy on spasmodic infantile cerebral palsy treated with acupuncture at Fengfu(GV16) and Yamen(GV15). This method is compared with conventional western medicine and rehabilitation training. To analyze the treatment group and the control group with the integrated functions, growth conditions and limb spasm state in order to determine the method standards and basis for clinical research on spasmodic infantile cerebral palsy treated with acupuncture. Methods:Sixty cases of spasmodic infantile cerebral palsy were selected and randomized into a treatment group and a control group,30cases in each one. They were treated with acupuncture mainly at Fengfu(GV16) and Yamen(GV15) and conventional western medicine respectively. The treatment group treated with acupuncture, once a day, sixth a week,2weeks for a session. In control group, the Mouse Nerve Growth Factor for Injection,30μg+NS2ml im qd and Monosialotetrahexosylganglioside Sodium Injection,40mg+NS100ml ivgtt qd were used,10days for a session. Additionally, the rehabilitation training Bobath and Vjota was combined in both groups, once a day, sixth a week,2weeks for a session. After three sessions of treatment, the integrated functions, growth conditions and limb spasm state were observed before and after treatment in each group.Results:7cases were markedly effective,22cases were effective and1case was failed; the total effective rate was96.7%in the treatment group.3cases were markedly effective,21cases were effective and6cases were failed;.the total effective rate was80.0%in the control group. DQ value was all improved in both groups, presenting the significant difference in comparison between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05). Each data in Gesell Developmental Scales were all improved in both groups, presenting the significant difference in comparison between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05). Concerning to the limb spasm state, the result was improved in both groups, presenting the significant difference in comparison between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05). The abnormal brain waves has no obvious improvement.4cases in the treatment group and2cases in the control group returned from the abnormal to the edge of the state. Conclusion:The survival quality in the treatment group was superior to the control group. The research indicates that acupuncture at Fengfu(GV16) and Yamen(GV15) as the chief acupoints in the prescription achieves the definite efficacy on spasmodic infantile cerebral palsy.
