BackgroundsInternet is the most important invention of the20th century; it has penetrated into all areas of human life. The widespread popularity of the Internet has affected aspects of human life, it brought changes to the economy, education, culture, lifestyle and other aspects, and it has become an indispensable part of modern life. However, Internet-the "double-edged sword"-bring great convenience, as well as a series of negative effects, IAD is one of the most important one.Since the year of1996, the concept "Internet addiction" was introduced to sociology dictionary and medical dictionary, people were very concerned about it, a number of scientists discussed its occurrence and interventions from different points of views. The "thirtieth China Internet Development Statistics Report" released by CNNIC shows:The number of Internet users in China reached538million by the end of June2012, of which10-19year-olds accounted for25.4%, we can see high school students has gradually become the main users of the network. The senior middle school students are at an important junction in life, overcoming poor academic performance, mental and behavioral disorders and other issues caused by IAD is imperative. Helping senior middle school students use the Internet positively, scientifically and effectively during this special period and controlling IAD is the social needs to guide the adolescent growing healthily.ObjectivesIn order to understand the status of network usage, to analyze the difference of network usage behavior of senior students, to explore the influencing factors of Internet addiction, thus we can guide senior students to use the network correctly and positively, reduce the negative impacts on them, provide a theoretical basis for senior students Internet addiction prevention and intervention, and formulate targeted preventive measures according to the research conclusions.MethodsUsing the method of stratified cluster random sampling to investigate the senior students in GAO MI city, According to the area and category, the investigated high schools were divided into four layers,150students were randomly selected in each layer, a total of1200students selected. Unified training investigators conducted a questionnaire survey on the senior students. Analyze the data with SPSS16.0.Main Results1200pieces of questionnaire were distributed,1155were valid. Senior students IAD detection rate was4.68%,7.57%detection rate among boys and girls was2.55%, the difference was statistically significant. The famous high school senior students IAD incidence of6.59%IAD,2.77%higher than the non-famous high schools’, the difference was statistically significant. The difference was not statistically significant between county and non-county high school IAD incidence. In addition, the other influencing factors are:reading after class, father’s educational backgrounds, father’s job occupation, mother’s job occupation, happy school life, good cooperation with the students in the school, have friends at school, often feel lonely, teachers are willing to listen, was often criticized by teacher. Logistic regression analysis showed that, gender, extracurricular learning, the character of high school, if have friends at school, if was often criticized by teachers are significant factors.Conclusions and suggestionsThe influencing factors of IAD among senior students are gender, extracurricular learning, character of high school, interaction with others, and other aspects, formulating targeted intervention according to the factors is very necessary. Conduct necessary ideological education among the students, especially network cognitive education and mental health education; carry on a wide variety of campus cultural activities, encouraging students to participate in outdoor activities, to develop a variety of hobbies; Relevant departments strengthen management, to curb the illegal Internet cafes; establish harmonious school and family environment, teachers and parents should often communicate with their students; take medication and other measures to achieve kicking the addiction.
