Objective:Observing the influence of traditional massage exercises on medicalstudents’ physical fitness and massage techniques. Studying the effect andmechanism of two kinds of traditional massage exercises in improving thephysical fitness and massage techniques. By comparing the difference betweentwo kinds of traditional massage exercises, we can further clarify theadvantages of traditional massage exercises and put forward the guiding forselecting the suitable exercises. There are many studies on the effect of traditional massage exercises onthe functions of the human body. However, we can hardly find research whichhas further attempts to explain the internal connection of massage exercisesand massage techniques. Because both of the exercise learning or massageskill assessment are lack of reference standards, we try to further explore therelationship between massage exercises and massage techniques, aiming at thepotential rules and principles.Method:A total of120students were divided into3groups(group-1, group-2andgroup-3),each of them contain40medical students. Students in group-1takeexercise for6hours a week on Shaolin internal training, while Students ingroup-2take exercise for6hours a week on Muscle-bone strengtheningexercise. Students in group-1don’t take any extra exercise. Each group weremeasured with grip strength, strength and endurance of back, thoracic andabdominal muscle, step test index, ROM, body flexibility before the firstpractice,5weeks later and tenth weeks later. After the mechanics data ofdifferent massage techniques was recorded by TPA-II and basic psychological status were collected through questionnaire, the software SPSS13.0is used foranalysis statistical information.Result:1The result of Body’s physiological and psychological indicatorsThere is no significant difference on the change of step test index in allthe groups(P>0.05).There is significant improvement of muscle power, endurance, somatic flexibility, ROM, depression and anxiety on group-1andgroup-2(P<0.05).In comparison with Group-2, the muscle power of back andhand in group-1rise obviously (P<0.01). In comparison with Group-1, theendurance of abdomen and back, ROM, somatic flexibility and anxiety havemore obviously changes in group-2(P<0.05).2The result of mechanics parameters on massage action2.1The result of DING`s rolling techniqueThe frequency, vertical strength, base strength, and coefficient ofvariation were significantly improved in both group-1and group-2afterpracticing for ten weeks(P<0.05). The frequency, vertical strength andcoefficient of variation in group-3were significantly improved (P<0.05).Compared between the group-1and group-2, the difference of frequency is notsignificant (P>0.05). The improvement of base strength and coefficient ofvariation is more obvious than group-3(P<0.05). The improvement of thevertical strength in group-1is more obvious than the other two groups (P<0.05).2.2The result of one finger pushing methodThe frequency, vertical strength and base strength were significantlyimproved in both group-1and group-2after practicing for ten week(sP<0.05).The frequency, vertical strength and base strength were significantly improvedin group-3after practicing for ten weeks(P<0.05). Compared between thegroup-1and group-2, the difference of frequency is not significant (P>0.05).The improvement of vertical strength in group-1and group-2is moreobvious than group-3(P<0.01). The improvement of the base strength ingroup-1is more obvious than groups-2(P <0.05). 2.3The result of vibration methodThe duration and vibration frequency were significantly improved in allgroups(P<0.01).The amplitude were significantly improved in group-1andgroup-3(P<0.05). The improvement of duration in group-1and group-2ismore obvious than group-3(P<0.01). The improvement of the vibrationfrequency in group-2is more obvious than the other two groups (P <0.05).Conclusion:1There are similar improvement effects of improving the function ofcardiopulmonary system. However, traditional massage exercises training ismore professional than other exercises on improving massage techniques.2Shaolin internal training has better effects on muscle strength, which isespecially necessary for the infiltration and power of DING`s rollingtechnique and one finger pushing method. The ability of tonic contraction ofpalm muscles in vibration method will enhanced also.3Muscle-bone strengthening exercise has better effects on muscularendurance, range of motion and body flexibility, which make DING`s rollingtechnique more gentle and flexible. Muscle-bone strengthening exercise canreduce the anxiety state obviously.4After long-term adherence, different massage exercises can improve thedifferent aspects of the massage techniques. Therefore different massageexercises should be combined to achieve better results.
