【Objiective】Observe the lipid changes in the rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Find thecorrelation between inflammatory markers,RA disease activity and lipid changes.Explore the characteristics of RA patients’ dyslipidemia and guide clinical treatment.【Methods】We selected49cases with RA and41healthy controls. We detected the twogroups lipid level. It included total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),high densitylipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),lipoprotein a [Lp(a)],are set outlipoprotein A (Apo AI) and apolipoprotein B (ApoB).We measured the RA patients’ swollen joint count, tender joint count, erythrocytesedimentation rate (ESR),C-reactive protein (CRP) and rheumatoid factor (RHF).Patients were grouped by DAS28score. Find the relationship between TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C,Lp(a),ApoA,Apo B and ESR, CRP, RHF. Find the relationship between age, disease duration,ESR, CRP, DAS28and lipids. Find the relationship between RApatients’dyslipidemia and RAdisease activity. All results were statistically analyzed.【Results】1. RA patients compared with control group, serum lipids, LDL-C, Apo B, LP (a)was significantly higher, HDL-C, Apo AI significantly reduced, TC, TG, LDL-C wasno statistical difference.2.The age of the patients with active RA and TC, LDL-C, Apo B was positivelyrelated. There was no statistically significant difference between the disease duration and dyslipidemia.3. DAS28and HDL-C, Apo AI was negatively correlated. There was no statis-tically significant difference between the DAS28and other lipid parameters.4. Male RA patients’ HDL-C levels were significantly lower than RA femalepatients’. There was no statistically significant difference between the gender andother lipid parameters.【Conclusions】1. Compared with the normal control group, the patients with active RA hadapparent lipids disorders. It performed that the serum lipids, LDL-C, Apo B, LP (a)increased and HDL-C, Apo AI reduced. It means that the patients with active RA gothigher risk of cardiovascular events.2. ESR and CRP level was negatively correlated with the level of HDL-C.Itdescriped that the inflammatory response of RA patients reduced the patient’s HDL-Clevel and increased the risk of cardiovascular disease.3.DAS28and HDL-C, Apo AI was negatively correlated. It means that, with theincrease in the degree of RA disease activity, the patients with active RA greatlyincreasing the risk of cardiovascular disease.4. Male RA patients’ HDL-C levels were significantly lower than RA femalepatients’.It means that the hormone levels and lipid metabolism are closely associated.
