ObjectiveTo research the non-motor symptoms (NMS) in Parkinson’s disease (PD)and to explore factors impacting of its NMS.Methods56cases of PD patients diagnosed in the second affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou university Neurological rehabilitation department and The Cadre Ward from July2011-March2013who are Survey in the motor symptoms questionnaire (NMS Quest) and statistics the incidence of the NMS and the total number of NMS. Unified Parkinson disease rating scale in the third part(UPDRS-Ⅲ) assess motor function, the fifth part of UPDRS (H-Y installment) assess PD severity score, record the PD patients gender, onset age, course of disease and degree of education and explore factors impacting the total number of NMS. Using spssl7.0statistical software for statistical analysis.Results54cases had non motor symptoms in all56PD cases, the incidence of non motor symptoms was96.4%.memory difficulties or forget was as high as66.1%, followed by constipation64.3%, frequent urination51.8%, double vision and fecal incontinence did not happen in this clinical observation. For individual, the number of NMS ranged from0to16, the average of PD patients NMS is7.25. Onset age, course of the disease, the UPDRS-Ⅲ、 H-Y installment、degree of education were associated with the number of NMS, Correlation coefficient (R) respectively were0.434、0.432、0.804、0.682、-0.553. Multivariate regression analysis showed that H-Y installment, onset age, course of diseases, UPDRS-Ⅲ were influential to the number of NMS, the largest impacting strength is H-Y installment, regression coefficient was2.467, and sex, degree of education had no effect on the number of NMS.ConclusionThe non-motor symptoms exist widely in PD patients and distribute in the clinical periods. Memory difficulties, forget, depression, sleep disorders have a higher incidence. the largest impacting strength on the number of NMS is H-Y installment. controlling motor symptoms of PD can reduce the number of non-motor symptoms in a certain extent.
