Background:Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a common progressive neurodegenerative disorderwith classical symptoms such as bradykinesia, rigidity, resting tremor, and posturalinstability. In recent years, with with further study on PD,We found the PD not onlyhas a typical motor symptoms, but also the non—motor symptorns(NMS) such asabnormal smell disorders, mental and cognitive abnormalities, autonomic nervefunction disorder. These NMS have different types, happen in different period ofPD,reduce the quality of life and shorten the life span. Some of the symptoms similarto those of other common diseases are easy to be missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. In this study, a retrospective study was carried out on non-motor symptoms in90patients with PD, in order to investigate the clinical characteristics of occurrence timeof PD-NMS, and NMS with sex, age of onset, course of disease, Hoehn-Yahr (H-Y)grading, correlation analysis between the motor symptoms.Methods:2.190definitely diagnosed PD patients in line with the British Parkinson Instituteof international accepted diagnostic criteria in our hospital were assessed from Jan2008to Dec2012.2.2Patients were investigated by the informed consent of patients, includingpatients general information (name, gender, age, onset age, occupation, educationlevel), the clinical symptoms (non-motor symptoms, motor symptoms appear), course,of physical examination of the nervous system in detail, gives the evaluation of H-Ydisease classification.2.3PD severity scoring standard:1. non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s diseasequestionnaire (NMSQuest);2. Mini Mental Scale (MMSE);3. Depression Scale(CES-D).2.4Statistical analysis was performed using SASS9.1software.The percentage of the NMS. relationship between time and movement time of symptoms. The NMS andits correlation with gender, age of onset, course of disease, H-Y disease classification, the motor symptoms.Results:3.190patients with Parkinson’s disease, male53cases, female37cases; the onsetage36-76years old, the average age of onset was (58.42±2.37) years old; course of0.6-11years, the average duration of (3.49±2.40) years; Hoehn-Yahr (H-Y) grading1-4, average (2.56±0.49); MMSE:18-30, the average (26±1.34); CES-D:0-49, theaverage (15±2.29) points.3.290cases of Parkinson’s disease patients with a NMS above75cases, the totalincidence of83.33%. The constipation60cases (66.67%),60patients with depression(66.67%),50patients with sleep disorder (55.56%),43patients with anxiety (47.78%),43cases (47.78%),32cases (35.56%), salivation, sexual dysfunction in29cases(32.22%),28patients with olfactory dysfunction (31.11%),28cases of urine disorder(31.11%), orthostatic hypotension in27cases (30%),13cases of seborrheic (14.44%),8cases of illusion (8.89%), personality changes in6cases (6.67%),1cases ofcognitive impairment (1.11%).3.3We found that NMS appear before or after PD motor symptoms.Theolfactory dysfunction and sexual dysfunction appears earlier than motor symptoms.3.4There is a close relationship between NMS and patients with H-Y diseaseclassification, but there is no close correlation between abnormal gait, posture, gender, age tremor and rigidity.NMS number was not corelated with gender, age of onset, tremor, rigidity, but significantly with H-Y disease classification, abnormal gait andposture.Conclusion:4.1Almost all PD patients present have NMS. Its main manifestations areconstipation, depression, sleep disorders, anxiety, sweating, salivation, sexual dysfunction, olfactory dysfunction, urinary dysfunction, orthostatic hypotension, cognitive impairment, seborrhea, illusion and personality changes.4.2PD patients according to higher H-Y classification and more abnormal gaitand posture are susceptible to NMS.
