The Clinical Application Of The Condylar Constrained Prosthetic Knee Replacement

Objective：To analyze the experience of using a Legacy constrained condylar knee（LCCK）in complex knee replacement and inquire into the indications andclinical results of this kind of prosthesis.Method：From March2011to December2011, Legacy constrained condylar kneewas performed in13complex cases, there were3cases with double kneereplacement, the others were7cases with single knee replacement, amongthem there were4cases with revision knee arthroplasty and1with trauma.Result：In all the patients,pre-operational knee pain disappeared completely,stability of the joint get better, the alignment of the knee joint recovered. Oneyear follow up showed that all the patients can do initiative completeextension, the maximum degree of flexion was120degrees, the infection anddislocation rate was zero and the patients satisfaction rate was100%.Conclusion：Good curative effect can be get by use of Legacy constrained condylarknee with unobtainable flex-extension gap balance or equal tension of medialand lateral compartment through soft tissue balancing and revision knee arthroplasty in one year follow-up.
