Objective:A retrospective analysis Constrained Polyethylene Insertin the first knee replacement in elderly varus instability application experience, and with the use of standard pad clinical efficacy in patients with early knee replacements performed comparative studies, summarized CPI in total knee arthroplasty indications and clinical results. Methods: Analysis from June2011to December2012at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Bone and Joint Surgery, Xinjiang Medical University, turned inside and outside combined deformity in elderly patients underwent primary knee arthroplasty,80patients (102knees). Which complete the standard side after osteotomy and soft tissue balancing operation<38cases6mm varus instability (49knees) patients, the use of restrictive liner (CPI Group), more than42cases (53knees) patients in the balance after the completion of the knee varus stability, using the standard liner (standard group), recording two groups of patients before surgery and after3months,6months,12months,24months follow-up criteria osteotomy and soft tissue HSS score, knee activity (ROM) and postoperative complications were analyzed statistically. Results:12-30month follow-up (mean follow-up1.5years), two patients with knee pain, joint stability, lower limb alignment correction, after1year follow-up results are shown HSS score from preoperative average CPI Group37.18points, increased to an average of89.96points after the standard group increased from an average of39.7points preoperatively to an average of90.35points postoperatively, the largest group of patients with an average flexion CPI119.86°, the standard group, the average119.16°. Two patients had no complications, postoperative infection and dislocation. HSS knee score and ROM between the two groups of patients before and after3months,6months,1year follow-up results and blood loss, postoperative drainage, operative time differences were statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusions:In elderly primary knee replacement, and no significant difference in early restrictive liner set the standard pad group clinical efficacy.
