Clinical Application Of Link Mobile-bearing Knee Replacement And The Development Of Related Research

Object: The study investigated the preliminary clinical outcome and discussed some related problems of the Link mobile-bearing knee design.Method: Thirty-nine knees in twenty-six patients were reviewed.The Hss knee rating score system and X-ray film were used to evaluate the clinical results with mean fellow-up period of 19 months. Results: The rate of excellent clinical result was 96.2%.The rate of complications was low. Conclusion: We got a excellent preliminary clinical outcome. As the third generation knee system the Link mobile-bearing knee design can supply adequate mobile and eliminate unnecessary constraint forces,which provide low contact stresses compatible with prolonged life of UHMWPE bearing components. A long term follow-up is necessary to make more precise statement about the knee replacement system.
