| Objective:In order to find out the standard of clinical primary nurses’ humanistic caringability, by a survey of the current status of primary nurses in Changchun city, thispaper discusses and analizes the factors that affect primary nurses’ humanistic caringability. Specific to the nurses with different backgrounds and caring abilities, thepaper proposes the cultivating stratges for different primary nurses, also present as areference for enhancing the nurses’ humanistic caring ability and providinghigh-quality nursing services.Methods:The research selected500clinical primary nurses from5Grade Ⅲ-A hospitals inChangchun as respondents by convenience sampling, and the questionnaires are onthe topic of humanistic caring ability, which include the common profiles of therespondents, their knowledge of humanistic and the scale of humanistic caring ability,established by Prof. Huang Yibing from Fujian Medical University. The data wastransferred to Excel by the Epidata3.1software to establish a database, and wasanalized under statistics by SPSS17.0software. The common profiles and the currentstatus are under descriptive statistical analysis by presenting the frequency, rate,percentage, mean value, standard deviation etc. Measuring data are processed by t-testand variance analysis. Influencing factors are under multiple stepwise regressionanalysis.Results:1. The score of the respondents’ humanistic caring ability is (72.92±9.39), theinstilling belief and hope dimensions points are (16.43±1.65), Health educationdimension’s is (12.86±2.03), humanity and altruism dimensions are (11.12±1.65), resolve health issues scientifically dimension’s score is (7.03±1.30), helpingensure the basic needs dimension’s is (6.58±1.18), providing good environmentdimension’s is (3.75±2.01), promote affective interaction dimension’s is(9.33±1.48), helping solve problem dimension’s is (5.83±2.16).2. There was a significant statistical significance (P<0.01) in the differences of thescores affected by work seniorities, years of becoming primary nurses,departments and knowledge of humanity. The discrepancy caused by ages,professional titles and the importance of humanistic care is of statisticalsignificance (P<0.05).3. Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the main factors are ages,departments, professional titles and the knowledge of humanity.Conclusions:1. The score of the respondents’ humanistic caring ability is (72.92±9.39),The scoreof the respondents’ humanistic caring ability tally with the Scholar’s researchresults, and there is no remarkable difference. But the most points are In theintermediate level, which indicates that there still exists the space for improving.2. The influencing factors are: ages, professional titles, work seniorities, years ofbecoming primary nurses, departments, and the knowledge of humanity. Andthe key factors are: working life, departments, professional titles and theknowledge of humanity.3. According to the analysis on the influencing factors of the current primary nurses’humanistic caring ability, there are the following ways to improve the nurses’ability: enhancing the nurses’humanistic awareness; strengthening the humanisticcare skills, and emphasizing nursing education. |
