ObjectivesTo investigate the status of humanistic care ability of the standardized training nurses,explore the relationship among the standardized training nurses' humanistic care ability,nurses professional values and humanistic caring dimensions,and demonstrate the nurses professional values' intermediary effect between humanistic caring dimensions and humanistic care ability.It will be helpful to nursing managers to make effective training strategies in order to improve the humanistic care ability,and provide theoretical basis for constantly improving the quality of clinical nursing teaching.MethodsCross-sectional survey method of descriptive study was used,a total of 376 standardized training nurses were selected from one grade 3 general hospital in Henan Province.To analyze the present status and its correlative factors of humanistic care ability in the standardizd training nurses by using the general data questionnaire,Nurses Professional Values Scale(NPVS-R),Caring Ability Inventory(CAI),and Caring Dimensions Inventory(CDI).EpiDate 3.1 software was used to input and establish the database,SPSS 17.0 was used for statistical processing,and Frequency,percentage,mean ± standard deviation were used to describe the general data of standardized training nurses.Independent sample t test and variance analysis were used for comparison between groups.Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation among humanistic care ability,humanistic care dimensions and nurses professional values of the standardized training nurses.The influence of different demographic characteristics,humanistic caring ability,humanistic caring dimensions,nurses professional values and its four dimensions of standardized training nurses were analyzed by multiple linear regression.The mediating effect test adopts the method of sequential test.Results1.The current statues of humanistic care ability of standardized training nursesThe total score of humanistic care ability of standardized training nurses was(196.52±17.10),and the average scores of the three dimensions were patient(5.97±0.47),cognitive(5.55±0.60)and courage(4.54±0.73)respectively.The total score was at the low level of foreign norm(CAI total score < 203.1),and the scores of all dimensions were lower than that of foreign norm.2.The current statues of nurses professional values and humanistic care dimensions in the standardized training nursesThe total score of humanistic care dimensions of standardized training nurses was(104.91±8.66).The score of nurses professional values in the standardized training nurses was(102.46±12.26).The average scores of the four dimensions were trust(4.16±0.60),responsibility freedom and safety(3.99±0.49),provision of care(3.96±0.50),and activism(3.81±0.51)respectively.3.The relationship among the humanistic care dimensions,nurses professional values and humanistic care ability of the standardized training nursesHumanistic care dimensions of standardized training nurses is positively correlated with humanistic care ability(r=0.608,p < 0.01).Nurses professional values are positively correlated with humanistic care ability(r=0.557,p < 0.01).There was also a positive correlation between humanistic care dimensions and nurses professional values(r=0.542,p < 0.01).4.The correlative factors of humanistic care ability of standardized training nursesSingle factor analysis showed that age,education level,political affiliation,the relationship with parents,the reason why nurses choose the nursing major,the status of humanities education in school,the humanities atmosphere in the rotating department,the classmates' care,the head nurse's care and clinical teaching teacher's care and clinical teaching teacher's humanistic care ability are the main factors that affect the humanistic care ability of the standardized training nurses(p < 0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis shows that humanistic care dimensions,responsibility freedom and safety,age,the reason why nurses choose the nursing major,and the classmates' care are the main factors influencing the standardized training nurses' humanistic care ability(p < 0.05).5.The mediating effect of nurses professional values between the humanistic care dimensions and the humanistic care ability in the standardized training nursesThe mediating effect test adopts the method of sequential test.The results showed that there was a partial mediating effect between the humanistic care ability and the humanistic care dimensions,and also accounted for 28.8% of the total effect.Conclusions1.The humanistic care ability of standardized training nurses is at a low level.2.The influencing factors of the humanistic care ability of the standardized training nurses involve the humanistic care dimensions?the responsibility freedom and safety?age?the reason why nurses choose the nursing major and the classmates' care.3.The humanistic care dimensions and nurses professional values are positively correlated with humanistic care ability in the standardized training nurses.As a mediating variable,the nurses professional values have a partial mediating effect between the humanistic care ability and the humanistic care dimensions.
