ObjectiveTo study the Association of CD40-1C/T gene polymorphisms with AcuteCoronary Syndrome(ACS) in western Liaoning Population.Methods289ACS patients and159healthy people were recruited and theCD40-1C/T gene polymorphism was detected by polymerase chainreaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). The severity ofcoronary atherosclerosis directed by the gensini scores, then analyzed theassociation of the scroes with CD40genotype. The serum level of solubleCD40(sCD40) was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Automated Biochemical Analyzer was used to measure the serumlipids level.Results1、 CD40-1C/T gene polymorphisms exists in Han population of westernLiaoning province and the distribution of the-1C/T polymorphisms in healthypeople is as following: CC is18.9%(30cases),CT is51.6%(82cases)and TT is29.5%(47case).2、 There is a significant difference of the distribution frequency of the-1C/T genotypes and allele in the ACS groups and control groups(P<0.05).Further research directed that the relative risk suffered from ACS of the peoplewith CC genotype was1.934or4.288times of the one with CT or TT genotypeand the people with CT genotype was2.217times of the one with TT genotype. The relative risk of people with C allele suffered from ACS was1.973times ofthe one with T allele. 3、 There was no significant difference in the levels of TC,TG,LDL-C andHDL-C among different people with CC or CT or TT genotype, no matterwhether in ACS groups or control groups(P>0.05).4、 There was no association with the CD40-1C/T gene polymorphismsand the gensini score.5、 The level of sCD40was different between ACS groups and controlgroups, and progressively increased from TT to CT and CC genotype in ACSgroups.Conclusions1、 CD40-1C/T gene polymorphisms exists in Han population of westernLiaoning province and was associated with ACS, the C allele may be a riskfactor of ACS.2、 There was no association with the serum lipid levels and the CD40-1C/T gene polymorphism.3、 There was no association with the CD40-1C/T gene polymorphismsand the severity of coronary atherosclerosis.4、 The level of sCD40was effected by the CD40-1C/T genepolymorphisms and the C allele may be an inducement.
