Background: Partial gastrectomy and radical gastrectomy arecommonly used in the surgical treatment of gastric lesions. The latter isrecognized as the standard procedure of treatment of patients with gastriccancer and it improves long-term survival. But Majoor reported thecase of complicated gallstones after gastrectomy for the first time in1947s. Cholelithiasis as gastrectomy a long-term complicationsincreasingly catch surgeon’s attention. It is reported that the incidence ofcholelithiasis after gastrectomy is up10%to47%.In recent years, domestic and foreign scholars study and explore the impact factor in theformation of gallstones and bile duct stones after gastrectomy.Thegastrectomy style is as one factor in influencing postoperativecomplicated cholelithiasis after gastrectomy, which needs furtherdiversity.Object: To investigate the impact of gastrectomy on postoperativecomplicated cholelithiasis. Methods:One hundred and eighty-six cases of gastrectomy patientswere followed up of5years after operation, the postoperative incidence ofcholelithiasis were observsd; the patients were divided into groups andanalyzed according the different ways of gastrectomy. It is a descriptiveanalysis. Count dates use2test.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Results:55cases of concurrent cholelithiasis in the five yeas,theincidences(29.6%) were higher than that of natural population(10%). Theincidence of cholelithiasis after Billroth I gastrectomy werelowest(10.2%),the incidences(38.5%) of cholelithiasis after Billroth IIgastrectomy and total gastrectomy were significantly higher than that ofBillroth I gastrectomy. The differences were statisticallysignificant(P<0.01). The incidence of cholelithiasis after Billroth IIgastrectomy was38.5%.The incidence of cholelithiasis after totalgastrectomy was44.1%. The differences were not statisticallysignificant(P>0.05).In the gastrectomy, the incidence of cholelithasis washigher in the group with duodenal bulb exclusion(35.4%) than in thegroup without duodenal bulb exclusion(20.5%).Conclusion: The incidence of cholelithiasis after gastrectomy willincrease, surgical resection methods paly an important role in thepathogenesis of cholelithiasis.
