Objective:Obesity is a well-established risk factor for gallstone disease. The incidence of cholelithiasis in morbidly obese patient is increased by up to three to five times, and in post-bariatric surgery, the incidence of cholelithiasis is even higher.Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(LRYGB)and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy(LSG)are the most commonly used bariatric surgeries in the world. There is no consensus reached on the contract of the incidence of cholelithiasis between these two kinds of surgeries, and there haven't been any research about it.Through collecting all the cases of bariatric surgery in general surgery department of Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University from October 2011 to January 2015,to count the incidence of cholelithiasis and compare the incidence between LRYGB and LSG.Then we analyzed the correlationship of patients'age, sex and pre-surgery BMI with gallstone formation.Aiming at providing a reference for clinical choice of bariatric surgery method and the prevention of postoperative cholelithiasis. Methods:We used Hospital Information System to collect the cases of bariatric surgery in from October 2011 to January 2015,then divided the cases meeting the inclusion criteria into Group LRYGB and LSG.Then we counted the incidence of cholelithiasis and compared the incidence between LRYGB and LSG.And the correlationship of patients'age, sex and pre-surgery BMI with gallstone formation was analyzed. Results:There are totally 172 patients underwent bariatric in general surgery department of Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University. After our investigation and follow-up,we brought in 44 cases that meet the inclusion criteria. The total incidence of cholelithiasis is 15.9%,12.1%for Group LRYGB and 27.3%for LSG.RYGB has 33 patients(10 male and 23 female),their age(35.55±9.65)years old and pre-operative BMI(35.20±5.60)kg/m~2.Group LSG has 11 patients(4 male and 7 female),their age(28±5.16)years old and pre-operative BMI(39.04±6.31)kg/m~2.There is no statistic difference of sexual proportion and pre-operative BMI between the two groups(P=0.772;P=0.063),but not age(P=0.014).Because of difference in age between LRYGB and Group LSG,Logistic regression analysis was used to correct the different and analyze the related factors simultaneously. There is no significant difference in the incidence of cholelithiasis between the two groups(P=0.396).Gender,age and preoperative BMI do not correlate with cholelithiasis. Conclusion:the incidence of post-operative cholelithiasis is not different between LRYGB and LSG.Patients'sex, age and pre-operative BMI do not have correlation with cholelithiasis after bariatric surgery.
