Objective:To understand the Non-intellective Factors and it’s demographic factors of the students from Nursing School of Hangzhou Normal University.And to compare the differences of the Non-intelligence Factors between Trinity and Non-Trinity students.To find out the deficient aspects in the Non-intelligence Factors of the two groups by research outcomes, so that to provide a reference for nursing educators to improve nursing students’Non-intelligence Factors.Methods:286nursing students enrolled in2011and2012were recognized as the respondents (119Trinity students and167Non-trinity students).The sample was surveyed by the general demographic characteristics and Non-intellective Factors questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed by SPSS17.0software, and statistical methods used in the study included descriptive statistics, two independent samples t-test, nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test.Results:Nursing students with different gender, ARTS category, household registration and grades showed statistically significant differences on achievement motivation; Nursing students with different gender, ARTS categories, household registration, grades and whether from the one-child family showed statistically significant differences on interests; Emotional Intelligence of nursing students was in upper level, but it had significant differences in different household registration and grades; The level of will in nursing students was not high, and it had significant differences in different nations, student sources, household registers and grades. Trinity students and Non-Trinity students showed statistically significant differences on achievement motivation and social interests.Conclusion:The nursing students with different personalities had a significant difference on five aspects of Non-intellective Factors. The Trinity Admissions Mode was helpful in selecting the students who love nursing and want to be a nurse. But it is necessary to inspect students’ emotional adjustment and self-control ability, and to lay emphasis on cultivating the achievement motivations and social interests of Non-Trinity students.
