| PurposeTo evaluate the clinical efficacy of the Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Plate Osteosynthesis (MIPPO), the traditional Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF), and discuss the feasibility of minimally invasive surgery and advantage.Methodsa) Group:In December2009to September2011, we collect37cases in the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM orthopedics, lower limb ankle trauma of the Orthopedics Hospital of Sichuan Province.b) Means:20cases were used MIPPO;17cases were used ORIF, after surgical treatment, they were all given function exercise.c) Observation:we compare two groups with the operation time, amount of bleeding, incision length, fracture healing time, postoperative complications and Limb function excellent ratioResultsa) The difference of the MIPPO and ORIF in operation time, bleeding volume, the length of the incision, fracture healing time difference was statistically significant (P <0.05), The group of MIPPO had short operative time, small incision, the little amount of blood and fracture healing time was short.b) The difference of MIPPO and ORIF in the soft tissue infections, nonunion or delayed fracture healing was statistically significant (P<0.05), the postoperative complication’s rate of MIPPO is lower than the group of ORIF.c) According to Johner-Wruhs evaluation criteria assessment of recovery of limb function, two groups good rate of patients have significant differences, but the difference was not statistically significant. Conclution:By visual comparison of the indicators can be seen that the minimally invasive technique in the treatment of distal tibial fractures, open reduction surgery has a relatively obvious superiority, the short operation time, soft tissue damage, less bleeding, a small incision fewer postoperative complications, fracture healing time was significantly shortened. With the development of orthopedic technology, the concept of minimally invasive techniques will be further developed. |
