Objective: To explore the clinical effects of treatment of distal tibial fractures bone dust and Gu You Dao combined with MIPPO technique.Methods: A retrospective analysis of 75 patients with distal tibial fractures was done. There were 38 patients in A group were treated with Gu You Dao and bone dust combined with MIPPO technique, and 37 patients in B group were treated with MIPPO technique. When followed up, duration time, time of fracture healing, Kofoed score were observed.Results: 75 cases followed up for 10~15 months.The duration of operation was(103.3±16.7)min in A group,(99.5±16.4)min in the B group, there was no significant differences between the two groups(P>0. 05). The time of fracture healing was(17.13±3.89)weeks in A group,(20.03±3.39) weeks in B group, and there was significant differences between the two groups(P<0. 05).The Kofoed score was(87.79±3.64) points in A group,(85.35±4.17) points in B group, there was significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05). Nonunion and delayed union was not found.Conclusion: It is a good treatment of distal tibial fractures with MIPPO technique, and bone dust from drill bit and Gu You Dao(rh BMP-2) into the site of the fracture.The advantage of this method is less trauma, simple operation, stable fixation, without additional bone graft, efficient use of resources,increase the rate of fracture healing, decrease the rate of delayed union and nonunion.
