Influence Of Quercetin On Proliferation Of Human Pterygium Fibroblasts

AIM: To explore the influence of Quercetin on the proliferation of human pterygiumfibroblasts(HPF) which was cultivated in vitro and try to find a new method toprevent the occurrence of pterygium and decrease its recurrence.METHOD:1、HPF was cultivated in vitro by the use of Quercetin（0~160mg/L）.After24h,48h,72h respectively, the influence of Quercetin on HPF was tested byCCK-8.2、Hoechst33342staining: HPF was cultivated in vitro by the use ofQuercetin（0~160mg/L）. After24h, observed the strength of blue fluorescence underthe fluorescence microscope ten minutes later by Hoechst33342staining.RESULTS:1、After24h, Quercetin（20~80mg/L）could significantly inhibit theproliferation of HPF in the dose-dependent and time-dependent manner(P<0.05).After48h,72h respectively, Quercetin（0~160mg/L）could significantly inhibit theproliferation of HPF in the dose-dependent and time-dependent manner(P<0.05).2、By using Hoechst33342staining, after24h, Quercetin（10~160mg/L）couldsignificantly induce HPF apoptosis in the dose-dependent manner(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Quercetin can significantly inhibit the proliferation of HPF andinduce HPF apoptosis.
