Objective:The aim of the study is to observe and compare the clinical curative effect of suspension traction method and cushion pillow treatments for simple thoracolumbar fractures, to explore the mechanism of suspension traction method and cushion pillow treatments and provide guidance for the clinical treatment. Methods:According to the standards of inclusion criteria, collect40cases of simple compression fractures of thoracic and lumbar vertebrae during October2010to January2012, including17cases of male,23cases of female. They were divided randomly and equally into two groups as the treatment group and control group:the experimental group,20cases, treated by suspension traction with function exercise for four to five hours everyday, five weeks for a period of the treatment; The control group,20cases, be putted cushion pillow with treatment function exercise, for twelve hours everyday, five weeks for a period of treatment; Before the treatment, after the treatment of one weeks and the treatment of five weeks the patients of two groups take X-ray according to the formula designed, and calculate the compression rate and reduction rate of the vertebral body. Finally, analyze the data statistically by using the statistical software SPSS16.0for windows.Results:1. In the experimental group12cases were cured,7cases improved,1cases ineffective, with an efficiency of95%, the cure rate was60%; In the control group6cases were cured,12cases improved,2cases ineffective; The efficiency was90%; the cure rate was30%. Between two groups, there is no obvious statistical difference in the efficiency (P>0.05). There was significant difference in the cure rate (P<0.01), which indicates that the experimental group is better than the control group.2. The experimental group and the control group were performed statistical analysis before treatment, after the treatment of one week and after the treatment of five weeks about compression rate. Between the two groups, there is no significant difference on compression rate before the treatment (P>0.05); it was comparable between two groups. Between two groups there is significantly different after the treatment of five weeks and the treatment of one weeks around the compression (P<0.01). The degree of vertebral compression was significantly improved after the treatment. Between two groups, the compression rate had significant difference after the treatment of five weeks and after the treatment of one weeks (P<0.01). The experimental group is significantly better than the control group.3. The experimental group and the control group perform the statistical analysis on reduction rate after the treatment of one week and after the treatment of five weeks. Between two groups after the treatment, the restoration rate had significant difference after the treatment of five weeks and after the treatment of one weeks (P<0.01). In the restoration rate, the experimental group is significantly better than the control group.Conclusion:1. The Putting Pill and suspension traction are effective and security for the treatment of traumatic thoracolumbar vertebrae compression fracture. But the latter was significantly higher than the former in the cure rate;2. Suspension traction is obviously superior to putting pill on the deformity correction.
