Research On Infectious Disease Prevention And Control In Qingdao(1898-1949)

The ocurrence and prevalence of infectious disease not only bring great fear andpain to the individual life，but also cause kinds of difficulties and disaster to thedevelopment of society.The influence of infectious disease which brings to modernQingdao was also serious.The infectious disease，such as cholera，typhoid，dysenteryand so on，not only a serious threat to people’s life and health, bring social disorder,but also seriously prevent the political, economic and cultural development.During1898to1949，Qingdao had been experienced the rule and slavery of German andJapanese colonists，the take-over of Bei Yang Government，the first reign time ofNanjing Nationalist government，the second Japanese occupation and he secondreign time of Nanjing Nationalist government from1898to1949.During this time，thegovernment in Qingdao changed frequently and political unrest. In such a socialbackground，every authority all tried their best to prevent the infectious disease，therewere mutual inheritance and individual innovation.The ocurrence and prevalence ofdiease no longer simply is a natural question，the more become the complex socialproblems we all have to face. The ocurrence and prevalence of infectious disease wereinfluenced not only by the natural environment factors，but also affected by populationdensity，public health， communications，war and other social factors. With kinds ofreferences，the paper discusses the reason of the ocurrence and prevalence of infectiousdisease in variable historical environment according the preliminary research，theprecautionary measures which were taken by successive governments after the outbreak ofdisease，thereby could provide beneficial reference for future work.The whole article is divided into five parts.In the Introduction chapter，the papermainly introduces the research purpose,the epidemic research heaway status and givesdefinations to those important relating research concepts.Meanwhile,it shows the infectious disease research progress and makes clear the research object,time,andother basic factors.The first chapter gives a brief introduction to the ocurrence andprevalence of infectious disease in Qingdao whilereproduces the historical scene of infectious disease ocurred in Qingdao andsums up the main characteristics of modern Qingdao infectious disease.The secondchapter mainly analyses the inducement of infectious disease;The third chapter givesa full description of prevention and control measures which taked by successivegovernments;The fourth chapter makes a brief evaluation for the results of theprevention and control measures for disease in modern Qingdao.The content whichthe study of infectious disease prevention and control in1898-1949is mainly thecoping mechanism after the outbreak.It is truly have an important significance to thefuture prevention and deal to disease.
