ObjectiveOf this research project through the observation of allergic rhinitis (hereinafter referred to as AR) and clinical symptoms in children before and after treatment, signs and laboratory changes of the immune parameters, as well as the safety evaluation of acupoint Sticking with a comparative study of modern immunotherapy, so as to explorethe acupoint applicator for the treatment of children with allergic rhinitis, the efficacy of lung deficiency and a sense of cold type advantage, the mechanism of action and security.MethodsSelected from Hubei Province, Chinese medicine hospital clinic5-14years diagnosed as allergic rhinitis, TCM type belongs to the children of the lung deficiency and a sense of cold,60cases for the study, randomized patients were divided into treatment group and drug group. Treatment group applicator group, cream paste the relevant points in the annual "dog days" and "nine" applicator course of1year,6times; control group with dust mites drops Chang Di sublingual clothing, incremental approach, the course of a year. Observation before and after treatment of symptoms, signs and immune indicators such as immunoglobulin E (IgE), eosinophils (EOS), cytokines (IL-4and IFN-γ), intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1) expression levelsEvaluate the safety, whether local or systemic adverse reactions, and liver function (ALT), renal function (BUN, Cr), and ECG changes.ResultsTwo applicator group, drug group markedly for each of nine cases, seven cases; effective of the16cases,13cases; ineffective for the five cases,10cases. Sticking total effective rate was83.33, drugs total effective rate was66.67.Applicator group and drug group for human immunoglobulin E (IgE), eosinophils (EOS), cytokines (IL-4and IFN-y), intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1) expression levels of Ridit analysis, P<0.01, differences before and after treatment significantly, with statistical significance; and between the two groups, ECG abnormalities, P>0.05, no significant difference.Security, the two treatment methods were not serious adverse reactions and abnormal liver and kidney function.ConlusionResults of clinical studies on the subject, show that acupoint application in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children than the Western immunotherapy efficacy optimum; Acupoint Application can regulate the body’s immune function, effective prevention and treatment of type I allergyits mechanism of action and lower in children with allergic rhinitis, serum IgE and ICAM-1, VCAM-1, the EOS expression levels, regulation of serum IL-4and INF-gamma levels of multiple areas in relation to Both methods are relatively safe in the safety evaluation, Western immunotherapy medical costs were significantly higher than the acupuncture point applicator group. Thus:the use of acupoint application therapy of allergic rhinitis in children, compared to Western immunotherapy has the advantage of effective, simple, convenient and inexpensive.
